Lisa Hartung: (Hidden) branching structures

There is a large class of probabilistic models in which a (hidden) branching structure is crucial to understand important quantities in these models. In this talk I will review several such models belonging to the universality class of log-correlated fields. Moreover, I will point out which type of questions can be addressed using the underlying branching structure.
